		<description>I think the open source is great competition as it forces the proprietary vendors to increase the quality of their software.  We wouldn&#039;t be where we are today had it not been for this type competition.</description>

		<description>So called &quot;shrink-wrapped&quot; software from companies such as IBM, A) cost a large amount of money upfront, B) cost a large amount of money in maintenance, and C) cost a large amount of money in services. At least with Open Source software, you have the option of being able to find a developer to assist. No such luck with products like Content Management Systems - you are forced to wait until the &quot;Feature Requests&quot; are considered worth the development time. It&#039;s all one big whirlpool of money... down the drain.</description>
