thanks for these useful informations. I have come to the same conclusions for the MySQL, Oracle, Postgresql, Sybase, DB2 databases while developping Talend Open Profiler.
For Oracle, regular expression support exist from the 10g version on. It does not exist in the Oracle 9i database. 
Thanks for the links for Informix and SQLite which we are currently trying to support in our profiler.</description>
