The next version of the jQuery Timepicker Addon is now available. I unfortunately didn’t get as many changes in as I would have liked, but I felt it provided some critical bug fixes for everyone. There are also a couple nice additions to the plugin:

  • separator option. The separator is the character(s) in between the date and time inside the input. ex: “2010/12/28 @ 8:00 AM”. The separator used here would be ” @ “. The default is simply a space: ” “.
  • minDateTime/maxDateTime options. These build on to minDate and maxDate for datepicker. You may use minDate/minDateTime interchangeably, however with minDateTime you must use a Date object.

Here is an example of how to use the min/maxDateTime options:

$('#example14').datetimepicker({
	minDate: new Date(2010, 12, 20, 8, 30),
	maxDate: new Date(2010, 12, 31, 17, 30)
});

This essentially works like the original datepicker options, but adds the time. So the minimum possible datetime to choose from the picker is 2010/12/20 8:30AM, and the max possible is 2010/12/31 5:30PM.

There are plenty more examples on the documentation page. If you have any code changes or suggestions head on over to the timepicker’s github page. Enjoy!
